Foundation Committees

 The Historic Manson Main Street Association program aims to revitalize downtown areas and enhance the appearance of the community through a comprehensive approach that leverages local resources and Manson's own heritage. The goal of the association is to foster collaboration among business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders to implement effective revitalization strategies specifically aimed at the historic preservation of Manson. ​

Revitalization goals are achieved through the activities of the four foundation committees of the association. Overall, the Historic Manson Main Street Association works to empower all those who love Manson to create a vibrant, strong and historical downtown that enhances the quality of life for all residents.

​Our foundation will be built by champions who are passionate about our community and committed to building a strong foundation for the Historic Manson Main Street Association (HMMSA). While business ownership is not required, having relevant experience is highly beneficial.

OUTREACH

The Outreach Committee is the heart of how we connect people to the mission of the Historic Manson Main Street Association. This group helps bring our community’s vision to life by sharing what we’re working on, inviting others to get involved, and making sure we have the support needed to keep meaningful projects moving forward. If you love bringing people together, strengthening community connections, or helping local ideas take off, this committee might be a great fit for you.

  • Sharing our story through thoughtful communication that builds excitement and awareness around our revitalization efforts.

  • Welcoming and supporting volunteers, from recruiting and training to celebrating the individuals who make our work possible.

  • Providing fiscal guidance by ensuring we follow good policies and stay on top of required reporting.

ECONOMIC VITALITY

The Economic Vitality Committee is all about helping Manson’s downtown thrive. This group works to support the businesses we already love, encourage new ideas and entrepreneurs, and create a vibrant mix of shops, services, and experiences that meet the needs of today’s residents and visitors. By breathing new life into unused spaces and welcoming fresh opportunities, the committee helps strengthen our local economy and keep our district growing in a thoughtful, sustainable way. If you’re passionate about local business, creative problem solving, or imagining what a flourishing downtown can become, this committee could be a great place for you to get involved.

The Promotion Committee is all about celebrating and sharing the best of downtown Manson. This group works to create a positive image of our district, drawing people in to live, work, shop, play, and invest here. Through creative marketing, engaging events, and thoughtful storytelling, the committee helps residents, visitors, business owners, and investors see all that makes Manson special. If you enjoy connecting with people, spreading good news, and bringing our community to life, this committee is a great place to get involved.

DESIGN

The Design Committee helps make downtown Manson a beautiful, welcoming place for everyone. This group focuses on highlighting our historic buildings, pedestrian-friendly streets, and other unique assets, while creating an inviting atmosphere through thoughtful improvements like window displays, signage, landscaping, lighting, and public spaces. By combining creativity with long-term planning, the committee plays a key role in keeping our district vibrant, attractive, and full of opportunity.
